THE A'DOOR'ABLE RED HATTERS Red Hat Chapter was started by Queen Mom, Oscar Hansen in the fall of 2001. Our first gathering was held at the Door County Library in Sturgeon Bay. Every chair was taken, and red hats filled the room! Yes, there was lots of interest to start the FIRST RED HAT CHAPTER IN DOOR COUNTY!
We proceeded to start our chapter with the following guidelines, which we still honor today!
1) NO Rules
2) NO Committees
3) NO Fund Raising, and
4) NO Service!

We have accomplished what we set out to do! We have gathered a wonderful collection of women together to share their sisterhood with one another through fun, frolic, and laughter!! Heavy on the Laughter!!!
We meet each month for an adventurous outing - whether it is a walk in the park, cooking out over an open fire, attending a dinner concert, taking in the latest broadway
play, or just sitting around the dinner table enjoying a fabulous food fest. You can find us on the nature trails under the stars, climbing the tower in our state parks, joining in the local and national conventions, dressing up for a Halloween Party, hopping on a float in the local parades! You name it…..we are game to do it. We agreed unanimously to try anything our sister's in purple plan for our monthly event.
We are a great bunch of "kids" who are active and full of fun! Hop on board with us….There's so much of life left to ENJOY! You won't want to waste a moment!! Grab a red hat and get yourself dressed up in the regal colors of Purple and plan to have the time of your life with The A'DOOR'able Red Hatters of DOOR COUNTY! I am your Queen Mother - and hoping to hang onto the Crown! Plan to join the court and add your interests and personality to this crazy and zany group. FUN and FROLIC is our cry!
